We dream big, take risks and have a strong bias for action. In difficult situations we make sound decisions and take thoughtful action. Before we act we always ask ourselves, ‘is this in the best interest of the customer?’ - the answer guides our actions. We act with intent and integrity – but most importantly, we all act. When we move fast, we do it in the awareness of the trade-offs we are making, and quickly address the issues we create for all our customers, including the organization
frugality
To us frugality is a mindset to not let our efforts (time or money) go waste - it is not an act of being cheap. We are all, always looking for ways to do more with less - by creating the highest leverage possible with our time, as well as efforts. Being efficient is at the core of everything that we do, because it allows us to pass more value to our customers, enabling them to do more with their resources – creating the virtuous cycle that translates into our mission
challenging the status-quo
We are candid, authentic and transparent. We speak our mind, make connections that others miss, and take smart risks. We challenge our own assumptions and actively look towards the best in the business, because we know that to be the best, we must first see the best. We actively seek and foster leaders (not managers) who set, and then push us to meet the bar for getting high quality work done. This is because we understand that while managers manage task lists – leaders define benchmarks for what good looks like
a learner’s mindset
At Grocery, we are all constantly learning the skills we need, to create the future we want. We continuously push ourselves to get 1% better everyday, because we know that we don’t know everything. We set the bar higher for ourselves and for those around us, so we can create the results we truly desire. As such, we are forever learning to see the whole together
customer love
At Grocery - we always put the interests of the customers ahead of our own. We work hard to earn and keep their trust, and to bring them delight through every interaction with us. We understand that we are here only to serve the customer, and to make a positive difference in their lives. It is the reason for our existence and our only right to play. The customer is who we all answer to - regardless of who they are, where they come from or what they do for a livings are the guiding force behind all our decisions. They show us the path in times of uncertainty and are the reason that we do, whatever we do. As such they tell us how we work – as individuals, and as a team
